bargain way to drive 3 or 4 displays with low power needs.
Needed a card that would drive 3 monitors but did not require a lot of power. This did the job for cheap. Its a couple year old model but so is my PC so it was a good fit. Does the job well and have no issues with it. Am driving 3 new 27 inch monitors flawlessly. It won't drive a 4k monitor but that was not what I was after right now.

If you need to attach more than 2 displays to your PCIe system, consider the NVDIA Quadro NVS 450. Since most consumer targeted PCs have only one PCIe x 16 expansion slots, you'll need a video card like this one. Although a little pricey, the Quadro 450 is easy to install and well-supported by Nvidia software and Windows 7. You get four (4) Display Ports in a 1-slot wide, fanless (i.e., quiet) solution. Comes with (4) Display Port to DVI adapters. Works well in systems with smaller power supplies. Does what it was designed for.
This did exactly what I needed it to do. For the first time in years I was able to run more than two monitors. I would not recommend this for games but for work it is awesome. I run four dell monitors, two of those in portrait mode. So far no complaints.
